Team Tuesday: EtsyNJ Team Blog Hop

I must admit, I haven't been paying too much attention to the outside world lately; so when this week's Etsy NJ Team Blog Hop came around I was unprepared, but it is a very good thing...
Because I found, The Vintage Sister!

Born and raised in a NJ town just outside of Philadelphia, she's been expressing herself through art since she was old enough to hold a crayon. With a degree in Art and two boys ~ she's brightening the world with her dynamic stylings.
Below are only a few of the wonderful items I found at her Etsy Shoppe ~ which you need to visit soon!
Oh, and I want to mention her blog as well ~ The Vintage Sister Studio!

Faithful Friends PRINT (above) ~ This is a print of an original mixed media painting using acrylics, pencil and collaged vintage papers.

On a String (above) ~ This is an print of an original mixed media painting using acrylics, pencil, vintage papers and bees wax. The canvas panel was covered with layers and layers of vintage sheet music and a coating of natural bees wax to give the piece lovely texture and depth.

A Quoi Bon archival print (above) ~ A Quoi Bon? Translation: What's The Use?
She's got birds in her hair and she just doesn't care!
This is a high quality print of an original painting. It was done in acrylics with craft papers, vintage french text and pencil detail.

Remember, every Tuesday is EtsyNJ Team Blog Hop ~ I would like to wish The Vintage Sister and everyone on the team a Happy Mother's Day!!

Team Tuesday: EtsyNJ Team Blog Hop

Well, I've gotten the news from the doctor ~ I am now a major food allergy sufferer. So as Easter came and went ~ I had to say "goodbye" to my jellybelly's and "so long" to you hollow milk chocolate Easter Bunny.

But wait, here on the horizon is a wonderful light and oh so delicious goodies ~ The Cupcake Mint!
The Cupcake Mint specializes in cakes & cookies with a conscience for the health of ourselves, our environment, & those without a voice.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Vegan Cupcakes (All that yumminess just shows in this photo!)

"I am sure you'll enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed creating them over the years with my family and friends. I am a strict vegan and do not bake with eggs, milk, or honey. You can be assured that all goods are carefully handmade in a clean dairy free kitchen," says shoppe owner, Shannon.

Wow! Just check out these fabulous cookies!

Chewy oatmeal raisin spice cookies with a thicker version of delicious classic vanilla buttercream icing generously sandwiched between them. This combo is sweet as heaven & devilishly delicious.

Obviously, you don't have to be Vegan to enjoy these wonderful creations!

Amaretto flavored cake with fluffy lemon buttercream make these cupcakes the perfect sweet conclusion to a meal or the perfect accompaniment to any tea gathering.

I am now embracing a new way of thinking and eating ~ Thanks Shannon for making the world so much sweeter and healthier!

Team Tuesday: EtsyNJ Team Blog Hop

Every Tuesday, Etsy NJ Street Team hosts a Blog Hop!

It's kinda like a Sock Hop, because there is a party goin' on ~
Each week, those of us who blog, pick a fellow member of our team to showcase, then you can follow the links to read about other extraordinary team members.
I forgot all about it last week, so I'm trying to get a jump on it early and write about a nifty gal livin' in NJ and her shoppe,

When you first enter the shoppe of Pancakeandlulu, you are just hit with these wonderful array of colors and textures.

WONDERLAND handspun and handpainted gypsy yarn low impact dyes (see photo, left) is just one of the wonderful yarns I'm speaking about... just look at the combination of colors bursting out.

Only a beginner weaver myself, I just sit looking lovingly at yarns, thinking, "what can I make" ~ It's the first instinct one gets,
you see fabulous materials and think, "I MUST make
something out of this~what, I don't know, but something!"

I'm now finding myself in a Colorful Trance ~

a beautiful handpainted bulky wool yarn. Gorgeous mustard yellow!
It reminds me of the best glass of lemonade, ever!

And I also must say that since her 2006 Etsy Shoppe opening, this terrific entrep
reneur has been Spotlighted in
several gift guides & Also as Etsy's Feature Shoppe:
And just recently, seen on the FRONT PAGE of Etsy ~

"I think of my yarns as freestyle fiber "collage", each skein is a fun and unique work of art in itself. Use them for anything you desire", say's owner of Pancakeandlulu.

But wait, now she's opened another shoppe at Etsy ~ and I'm so certain she will get a sensation response to her newest venture, too!

flapjackandpippin, opened in October of 2009 and it has a marvelous collection of felted juggling balls.

beautiful sheep's wool ball. a great toy for a child, pet or yourself! can be used as an ornament, pincushion or for crafting.
